Hampton Inn Sierra Vista
Prior to leaving the Phoenix area we had looked online and found very few places in either Bisbee or Tombstone that had any vacancies. The few that did had miserable ratings on TripAdvisor. We found that the Hampton Inn in Sierra Vista not only appeared to be new but also had received good ratings.
After a long day of driving and then touring Bisbee, AZ we were definitely ready for a place to get a good night of sleep. Upon arriving at the hotel we could definitely tell it was new. After checking in we made our room on the top (3rd floor). When we booked the room online I had put a request for an upper floor room in the “Notes” section. We were glad to see the request had been honored.
I had never stayed at a Hampton Inn but had always thought that they were meant to be on par with Marriott’s Fairfield Inn brand. However, at least with this new hotel, it appears Hilton is attempting to take the Hampton Inn brand to a higher level but at a reasonable cost. We paid $99 for a room with one king bed (AAA rate, not including tax). Non-AAA rates appear to range from $119 to $149.
The hallway was well lit and nicely decorated. Each room had a little picture next to the room number. This would be great if you are someone who has trouble remembering numbers. For example, in our case we could just look for the Liberty Bell if we couldn’t remember we were in room 315.
